Once. Twice. Still not a lady.

Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for The New York Times

Thank you, NY Times, for shoving Megan Fox in my face this Sunday morning. I expect more from you. I do recognize that by sharing my distaste in your magazine’s cover subject, I’m fixing yet another klieg light at her visage; nevertheless, after a mere paragraph into the article, I’m overcome with sufficient rage I must expel posthaste.

At what point will young girls become incapable of deciphering between femininity and promiscuity? Similarly, are we systematically modifying males’ taste in young women by promoting the scandalously provocative in celluloid, paper and digital mediums? How will we raise girls to value a cultivated mind, social grace and propriety?

While Miss Fox maintains that she’s a Hollywood victim, one only needs to read her description of a tattoo positioned “next to my pie” to recognize that the lady is a tramp.

Welcome

It's a sad state of affairs, really, which has crescendoed to the genesis of this blog. I’ve become a bit dumb. Ten plus years of working in a field of pedestrian exchange have paralyzed my mind. Each day leaves me with a feeling of locked-in syndrome, wanting to scream “I can think! And have opinions!” Ah, but contrarian thought has never met a warm embrace in corporate America. Consequently, a blog is born. Welcome.
